This 5 years went by fast! I can't wait to see everyone. I am now retired, 3 years ago, and I seem to be busier than ever. I have a part time job, one day a week, working as a receptionist at a Day Spa. I have also taken on added responsiblities thru my church. Two years ago, I had bi-lateral knee replacements and it has given me a new lease on life. I now have 3 grandchildren: 11 yr old Caleb, 4 yr old Cayci and 1 yr old Malachi. My oldest son Gabe lives near Nashville, TN, and Josh lives in Winchester, VA. They are both out of the military now, but I am so proud of their service. |

I retired in March, 2008 from Norfolk Southern after 37 years of service. Sara and I have 4 grandchildren and travel at least half of our time. I'm still trying to play golf and Sara joins me on an occasion; when she is not playing with the ladies. Life is good and we look forward to seeing you at the 45th reunion. |

Comment: Thank you . . . to all who work so hard on putting the reunions together. I pray that "#40" will be a great success. I still come back to Bluefield on a regular basis, but never see any of my classmates. My Mom says it's because we don't recognize each other after 40 years . . . She may have a point! My life is filled with work, grandchildren (5 of them), family and church. I'm convinced that grandchildren are God's gift to help us through the aging process. They are just like puppies and Jesus . . . "they love us in spite of our failures and imperfections". God Bless each of you! Lord willing, we will all be here for #45 . . . until then . . . My prayer for each of you is that the Lord Bless you and keep you. The Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you. The Lord turn His face on you and give you peace! |

Comment: I am looking forward to seeing my classmates and wish that everyone were coming!! Being on the reunion committee has added to the "anticipation!" My "Five" children are my godsons and goddaughters, whom I treasure as my own! My other great loves are Greek music (of course), uh, cooking Greek food, and the W.Va. "Hills!" (Fooled you!) To conclude: "And Lord have mercy on us all in this extremely turbulent but awesome world we live in!" |
